I like this a lot … see my comments on “the kid” I would have zoomed in a little closer on him and the camera, filling the frame with him and the camera.
I understand what you were going for here, or I think I do, but I think the image is the kid and the camera, not the setting.
I hear what you say. However I liked this because he seems so small in such a big setting. I liked the pattern on the floor, the gilded frame above etc. I think you are correct that if I had “filled the frame” better the image would have turned out stronger. I think its a combination of the experience of when I shot it and that I liked how he was just “ballsy” shooting what he wanted.
