They guys from Star Maps playing LaBrie’s Lounge in Glendale, CA tonight. Challenging shoot because I was shooting without using a flash and it was all hand held. Pretty happy with the results. Shot with my Nikon D300!

The Castle of Los Angeles

I really like this photograph. I see this photo and I think of Los Angeles being a mid evil castle that is surrounded by the townsfolk around it. The everyday normal people never get to go inside the castle. Most of the people who live around LA probably won’t ever get to go to the top floors of the high rise buildings. Who knows if most of them will ever get to even go inside one. None the less it’s still there. A fun shot, a bit tricky shooting through a plexi-glass window but it still pretty good (I think). I’m a really lucky guy for having the opportunity to be up in a helicopter taking photo’s!

Santa Monica Pier

Santa Monica Pier is a LA landmark. From what I hear from the old timers it seems to go through a transformation every few years. For all you New Yorkers please don’t try to compare it with Cony Island. Its not the same, it’s not supposed to be. I think this photo is fun because of the the color. I know that there is lots else going on, the lines, the roof tops the clean beach, etc…

I’m hoping that in 100 years that this picture hangs on the wall of a coffee shop, or maybe a franchise restaurant that wants to look local.

I love this picture. Its not the type of image that I normally take but then I normally don’t take images from a helicopter! I love the geometry, the curves, the lines the colors, etc! I l love it!

This is an image that I took by overlapping two images at the same time but still inside the camera. I did some minor light and color correction but no other work. I love my Camera!
