My friend Armen turned 40. He had the best food that could give an entire town a heart attack. It truly was epic. I’ve known Armen for a while but not very well. These are some of the photos from the party. I really enjoy shooting people and its taken me a while to get comfortable in taking out the camera and start clicking away. What was interesting (in hindsight) was that many of the people attending the party were “industry” people. Nothing like clicking away and learning that people in the room have Masters Degree’s in Photography from USC and have worked with the biggest names in the biz. Oh well whats a poor amateur to do? I tried to capture the characters and the mood of the evening. Shot with available light.

A series of images of my good friend and amazing artist Farzad Kohan. This is of course three images arranged together. However each image was the work of a multiple exposures. The layer effect was done in the camera and not photoshop.

The center image was imposed over a page in his sketch book while the other images random objects from the park including the reflection of the sun shining through water bottles.
